It’s Not Often I’d Support A Mother Begging To End Her Sick Kid’s Treatment. I Am This Time.

Isabella Coomber is only three years-old. She has been fighting cancer for most of her life. When Isabella was only one, doctors discovered she had a brain tumor. She has been battling her cancer as bravely as she can, fighting through surgeries and countless rounds of chemotherapy. Nurses nicknamed Isabella “little lion” because of her fighting spirit.

But now, her family knows she can’t win her fight. Her mother Jolene knows it will be her baby girl’s last Christmas, so she made the heartbreaking decision that doctors didn’t expect. She begged for them to stop treatment.

Jolene knows that her little angel won’t see another Christmas.

So, she decided to stop chemotherapy. Isabella would have one last Christmas and it would be perfect.

She would be able to enjoy it with her family instead of feeling ill.

“She may not have long left so the time we have together is too precious to waste being sick. My little girl deserves some laughter and happiness at Christmas.”

But the one thing that Isabella wants most from Santa is to see her favorite characters at Disneyland Paris.

Because of the expensive hospital bills, her mother simply can’t afford it.

“It will break my heart not to be able to give her what she has asked for when I know this will be her last Christmas with me so I’ve started fundraising to see if it is possible.”

The family is attempting to raise money to fulfill her final wish, but most importantly, they are cherishing time with her.

For years, doctors had been attempting to remove the cancer from the little girl’s body through surgery and chemotherapy.

Tragedy struck last September when the doctors realized that they wouldn’t be able to save Isabella. They believed she only has months to live. They initially suggested extra chemotherapy to prolong her life, but that’s when Jolene made a brave decision for her little girl. No matter how much she wants to cling on to her baby girl, she is going to let her final days be blissful… not torturous. So she isn’t going to undergo treatment. Isabella will spend time with her mother, grandmother and two sisters, Rebecca and Sophia.
